La Fortaleza De Jas Group's story
Kimberlin is part of the La Fortaleza de Jas credit group and currently runs an ice cream parlour from her home, covering her household expenses and supporting her family of four. Throughout several loan cycles, she has been able to invest in her business, increasing her capital, generating more income and achieving economic stability that allows her to look to the future with optimism.
Kimberlin's dream is to see her ice cream parlour consolidated as her own brand, a venture that represents her effort and dedication to the industry. She is motivated by the idea of continuing her training, acquiring new knowledge and perfecting her skills in the ice cream business, in order to apply everything she has learned in her daily work as an entrepreneur. Kimberlin aspires to grow professionally, position herself in her community and make her ice cream shop an example of success and quality.
With the current loan she plans to invest in buckets of ice cream, bags of Chupa Chups, and 200 units of popsicles to offer variety to her clientele.
Other members sell vegetables, are seamstresses, and have a blacksmith shop, among other enterprises.
