Growing up in West Africa, I was captivated by the magic of storytelling, fantasy novels, epic films, and the boundless worlds created through imagination. But as I grew older and began writing my own stories, I noticed a painful gap: African voices, perspectives, and mythologies were rarely represented in the global fantasy space.

When I finished writing my debut novel, I was excited, but quickly realized there were few platforms that welcomed or supported African creatives in publishing stories rooted in our culture. Rather than wait for a door to open, my brother and I decided to build one.

We founded Ankara Media, a creative platform focused on elevating African storytelling through books, comics, animation, and more. Our mission is to provide a space for underrepresented voices to thrive and to showcase the richness of African cultures to the world.

This business is more than a company, it's a dream built from passion, perseverance, and a deep belief that our stories matter.
