Keyon's story
Hyde & Park Co was founded in 2019 after to my new apartment and my friend offered to buy me a candle as a housewarming gift but never did. As I was searching for a candle for myself I noticed that all the candles I was smelling were wither very fruity or very floral. There was no middle ground with the scents. I also wanted the packaging in dark, minimalist vessels.
After seeing a need in the candle industry I launched my company from my kitchen in March 2019. Today Hyde & Park Co takes up my spare bedroom and has grown from the stove to two large wax melters and several products. We are stocked in several stores in the US and are very active in the Chicago artisan market scene.
My next goal is to secure a brick and mortar to have a consistent place to host candle making classes as well as a place for customers to shop our products!
